The NIHR Trainees Coordinating Centre is conducting a series of roadshows to promote the establishment of the NIHR Academy which is launching in October 2018. The NIHR Trainees Coordinating Centre funds a range of training and career development awards in health-related topics, including fellowships, for academic and clinical professionals.

This event is aimed at existing and future applicants of the NIHR academy based in the South West of England and will provide you with the opportunity to hear about recent specific changes and to ask questions of experienced staff from the Trainees Coordinating Centre.

There will be additional sessions from a current interview panel member and award holder who will share their insight into the application process. We will also be available to advise how we can support you with your applications.


Programme:

12.30pm- 1.15pm Registration, lunch and networking
1.15pm - 2.15pm Introducing the NIHR Academy and what it means for you including programme changes
2.15pm - 2.30pm Professor Gordon Taylor
Director of RDS South West and Fellowship Panel Member
2.30pm - 2.45pm Dr Amber Young
Honorary Senior Research Fellow, University of Bristol
and NIHR award holder
2.45pm - 3.15pm Q&A session

 

This event is FREE and refreshments and lunch will be provided. Places are limited and will be allocated on a ‘first come, first served’ basis. Please register your interest by 1pm, Monday 1 October 2018 using our online form.
